About Zoie Hou

I am an intermediate software engineer at Intelligent City, a company that develops innovative solutions for sustainable urban living. I have a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Science with a focus on robotics from the University of Toronto, where I learned how to design, program, and control intelligent machines and systems. At Intelligent City, I work with a team of architects, engineers, and fabricators to create automated processes for parametric building modelling, fabrication drawings generation, and robotic prefabrication of building components. I use C#, McNeel Rhinoceros, and RobotStudio to design, implement, and deploy these processes, and to improve the code quality and efficiency. I also coordinate cross-team discussions to translate architectural rules from requirements to technical design to implementation. I am passionate about applying my skills and knowledge to solve real-world problems and to create more sustainable and livable cities. I am eager to learn from and collaborate with other professionals who share this vision and who can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team.
