About Zoraida Basaldu

As a Process Engineer at Citgo who leads chemical, desalter and trial teams, it’s my job to ensure efficient process conditions and maximum production of all water treatment, boilers and heaters. Our refinery has been classified as an Energy Star refinery. As a woman in a traditionally, male-dominated industry, getting it done means tapping into my Super Woman Powers – forming authentic connections with our field employees to gain their respect and buy-in to follow all protocols, paying close attention to the details that need to be monitored in our process, and leading through example by delivering accurate reports and recommendations to our senior leadership team.Leader. Mentor. Engineer. I’ll do whatever it takes to deliver excellence while empowering people along the process.
