1992 verschickte ich als ein glühend begeisterter Wein-Autodidakt meine ersten Weinangebote als ein fotokopiertes Basisprogramm. Selbst und ständig als Einzelkämpfer im Ladengeschäft und abends zur Post, um die Bestellungen zu versenden. Seit damals hat sich viel verändert, viele Mitarbeiter unterstützen mich heute in meiner Leidenschaft und Vision. Lobenbergs GUTE WEINE ist immer noch ein relativ kleiner Nischenhändler der qualitativen Oberklasse, aber mittlerweile der größte, noch vom ursprünglichen Inhaber geführte Weinhandel Deutschlands. Und, wie ich hoffe, inzwischen auch der qualitativ Beste. Alle zwei Jahre veröffentliche ich meinen - inzwischen auf über Seiten angewachsenen - Katalog. Die „Weinbibel“. Darin präsentiere ich Teile der über 750 Weingüter und über 4500 Weine. Über meinen neuen Onlineshop und dem dazugehörigen Magazin biete ich meinen Kunden ein bequemes und vor allem auch informatives Einkaufserlebnis, angereichert mit unzähligen Wein- und Weingutstexten, Reiseberichten und Erzählungen. In meinem Blog kommen auch viele befreundete Journalisten zu Wort und vor allem auch meine Winzer, sozusagen live aus dem Weinberg und Keller. Und immer noch ist der Antrieb meine eigene Begeisterung für die Weine dieser Welt. Kein Wein kommt unprobiert und ohne meine Zustimmung ins Programm. Trotz der Größe, alles handverlesen.
