NFC planned its expansion and a new state of the art Ammonia/Urea complex was erected in based on Toyo Japan technology. Plant name pate capacities were 600/1050 MTPD Ammonia/Urea. under the disinvestment policy it was privatized and purchased by a leading textile group of Pakistan Azgard9 in July 2006. Company planned expansion to 1400 MTPD urea which was carried out by Jan 2011. The Urea plant process was changed from Toyo to Stamicarbon.
