Northeast Center for Youth and Families (NCYF), founded as the Advocate Program in 1972, and later as Tri-County Youth Programs in 1979, grew out of a deep commitment to social reform that prevailed in the early 1970’s and dramatically changed society’s treatment of its most disadvantaged members through a shift in public policy towards more compassionate, less restrictive, community-based care. We began with advocacy and foster care for 20 at risk young people. Group homes, a small special education school and an after school program followed. Later, family support services were added to assist families in their homes. NCYF Today Our commitment to youth and families has never wavered, and has enabled us to grow and improve our service offerings to include: Upwards of 120 licensed and trained specialized foster homes statewide serve, on average, 105-115 foster kids daily Our three Therapeutic Day Programs offer a variety of educational, recreational and social skill-building activities Up to 24 residents are served daily in two residential programs located in Springfield. Our CBHI services, featuring services such as in-home therapy, therapeutic training and support, and therapeutic mentoring, provide support and assistance to over 200 families a year. In 2013, NCYF was granted an outpatient mental health clinic license, thus achieving a longtime strategic goal to provide service continuity for families who previously had to seek new therapists in the community when “graduating” from our programs.

Fundado en 1966, Servicios Legales le provee acceso a la justicia a un gran segmento de la población puertorriqueña: casi la mitad de los ciudadanos que no pueden pagar los servicios de un abogado privado. Atendemos casos de familia (divorcio, pensiones alimenticias), menores, educación especial, vivienda, mantenimiento de ingresos, laboral, quiebras, veteranos, derechos civiles, derechos de comunidades y ambiental, y derechos de consumidores, entre otros. Según el censo federal, casi el 50% de la sociedad puertorriqueña cualifica económicamente para nuestros servicios, ya que viven en o por debajo de los niveles federales de pobreza. Es decir, SLPR tiene una clientela potencial de sobre 1.8 millones de residentes de Puerto Rico. Durante los últimos 50 años SLPR ha demostrado su compromiso con nuestra población indigente con dedicación y esfuerzo, proveyendo representación en los tribunales y agencias administrativas en aproximadamente 2.8 millones de asuntos legales a nombre de igual número de representados. Asimismo, el programa ha ofrecido innumerables conferencias, charlas comunales, publicaciones, adiestramientos a abogados y líderes comunales, otros servicios de educación, asesoramiento y orientación comunal a la sociedad puertorriqueña. Además, nuestros abogados y abogadas han litigado casos que han sentado precedentes judiciales importantes en el país como lo fue el caso en el que el Tribunal Supremo estableció el consentimiento mutuo como causal de divorcio, el caso de Rosa Lydia Vélez de educación especial y otros. Este esfuerzo le ha ganado a Servicios Legales de Puerto Rico el reconocimiento, respeto y agradecimiento de la comunidad jurídica y del pueblo en general.

Based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Basketball is a nonprofit organization and the national governing body for men's and women's basketball in the United States. As the recognized governing body for basketball in the United States by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) and the United States Olympic Committee (USOC), USA Basketball is responsible for the selection, training and fielding of USA teams that compete in FIBA sponsored international basketball competitions, as well as for some national competitions, and for the development of youth basketball initiatives that address player development, coach education and safety. From 2013 through 2016, 2,211 men and women players and 250 coaches participated in USA Basketball, including USA Basketball men’s and women’s five-on-five and 3x3 teams, USA Basketball trials and USA team training camps. USA Basketball men’s and women’s teams between 2013-17 compiled a spectacular 157-4 win-loss record in FIBA and FIBA Americas competitions. Additionally, USA 3x3 teams posted an 89-17 win-loss record in official FIBA and FIBA Americas 3x3 competitions. USA Basketball ranks No. 1 in all five of FIBA's world ranking categories, including combined, men's, women's, boys and girls. The USA Basketball Youth Development division is tasked with the development of youth basketball initiatives that address player development, coach education and safety, while promoting, growing, and elevating the game.
