The founders of 1912 Winemakers, António Monteiro and Edmar Monteiro, are two brothers born in the Douro region known for its excellence in wine classification. From a tender age both helped their father around the property,"Quinta de São Bernardo", situated on the river bank of the Douro, dated 1912, whose centenarian vines resulted in a high quality wines produced by the company today. These wines come from a careful selection of grapes and a thoughtful production process."Quinta da Água" was later acquired in order to expand our wine production, always taking into account the same quality standards. 1912 Winemakers was born from a mixture of passion and caring traditions.
