8monkey Labs is an independent game developer located in Cedar Falls, IA. Our team has over a decade of experience in game engine development and graphics programming and we work with an extremely talented group of 3d artists that stay on the leading edge of modeling and shader techniques for games. Founded in late 2005, our team immediately began development on our proprietary game engine, the Marmoset Engine. In the summer of 2006, 8monkey partnered with publisher Phantom EFX to develop and launch their new IP-historically-based, time-traveling action shooter, Darkest of Days-utilizing the Marmoset Engine. With the conclusion of development on Darkest of Days coinciding with the new year, 8monkey remains on the lookout for new opportunities to utilize the Marmoset Engine and are always searching for more talented people to join our team.
