Aarhus Bykirke

Aarhus City Church is a free congregation, founded in 2009 by a group of young individuals. The church is characterized by a high level of volunteer involvement, which means that worship services and other activities are largely carried out by volunteers. In addition to participating in the services on Sundays, a large portion of the church's members gather in smaller communities throughout the week. As of December 2023, Aarhus City Church has around 430 adult members. The church's staff consists of three pastors (Henrik Højlund, pastor, Daniel Søgaard Lind, pastor, and Emil Børty Nielsen, assistant pastor), as well as director in addition to a multitude of volunteers.
