After Design
Design jobs will be phased out. Not all of them, but many. Everyone is now a designer. You and I are no longer the gatekeepers to good design. We saw it with Canva. And then PowerPoint started to get better with design. And now generative AI has changed everything. Everyone can be the designer they always thought they could be. So where does that leave you? Design jobs are going to become more sparse. As budgets get cut, some marketing manager will raise their hand and say they can create the images and flyers they need. The good thing is that you have unique skills that can be transitioned to adjacent fields. You have to look beyond moving pixels around (sorry for the oversimplification). There are areas of design you like better than others. I’ve worked with a lot of designers over the years and everyone has their specific area where they have more fun. Be it typography, photo alterations, or guiding a viewer around an asset, there is something you’re great at. I can help you figure out how to convert that specialization into another field. I’ve done this myself. I’ve done this for others. Now I can do it for you.
