Agenda Waikato

Agenda Waikato is a recently-formed incorporated society with an active business-centric membership, and is solely business-led with no political influence. It will be a strong collective business voice of the Waikato sub-region for the betterment of the region. Agenda Waikato is willing to strategically partner with others collaboratively, integrating and leveraging networks, knowledge and resources for the overall good of the Waikato. There are many groups to help the sub-region’s success and with the expertise and drive of Agenda Waikato, there is a real opportunity for the business group to help drive change and push for action for the betterment of the region. Agenda Waikato will remain focused on a handful of issues/opportunities and seek action. Agenda Waikato supports initiatives that strengthen the voice of the Waikato Region on the local and national political stage and that of potential business and investment opportunities as part of the sustainable growth of the region. Facts and figures are key. A fragmented region is not a strong one. AGENDA WAIKATO’S FIVE-POINT MANDATE 1. Remain business-led and independent. Issues and opportunities identification that leads to the Waikato sub-region being the best it can be and where the benefits are direct or indirect. Reducing barriers to business that benefit the wider community and economy. Action-based and outcomes focused – with specific timeframes, funding and reporting. Problem-solve via research and business experience NOT opinions and nice-to-haves.
