A Recovering People Pleaser, born in the Bronx and raised in Washington Heights and the first in my immediate family to work for corporate. I had to learn first-hand how to navigate the corporate world without a compass and strategically ensure my skill set, experience and network developed in a way that continuously created opportunities for me. I learned how to get clear on my career goals and find opportunities that aligned with them. Changing industries several times during my career journey has taught me how to strengthen my personal brand and articulate my expertise during the job search process. As the Founder of Aisha Ortiz Consulting, I am able to leverage my 17 years of HR experience as a Corporate Recruiter and HR Business Parter for Partner for Fortune 500 companies in various industries including financial services, healthcare, not-for-profit and marketing & advertising. As a Career Coach, I help early to mid-level professionals who feel stuck in their career gain clarity, build their confidence and create customized strategies to navigate their job search to new hire journey. As an Executive HR Consultant, I leverage my expertise in working with small to large businesses in launching HRIS systems, creating and establishing recruiting procedures, redesigning performance review processes, executing employee engagement initiatives and designing and launching onboarding, orientation and new hire programs. A forever learner and student, I obtained Masters of Science in Organizational Management and Human Resources Development from Manhattanville College, certifications in Leadership Talent Optimization from Cornell University, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace from the University of South Florida, and Employing Abilities @Work and Veterans at Work from the SHRM (Society of Human Resources Management) Foundation in addition to being SHRM certified – SHRM-CP.
