Altmba

The altMBA (now closed) ran for 9 years, serving 7,043 leaders across 109 countries. It was a transformative leadership workshop designed to help people navigate change and uncertainty. Created by best-selling author Seth Godin, this intensive 4-week online program brought together small groups of students and coaches to fuel positive change and foster global connections. From 2015 to 2024, the altMBA built an alumni network spanning thousands of industries. Graduates included leaders from Facebook, Nike, Microsoft, Apple, Lululemon, PwC, Kickstarter, Johnson & Johnson, Whole Foods, RXBar, Amazon, Hallmark, Chobani, Sony, Ernst & Young, Google, HubSpot, IBM, LinkedIn, Walmart, and many more. With a 97% completion rate—dramatically higher than the 3% average for the MOOCs of the time—the altMBA pioneered the accountability and group-driven learning model that became the foundation of today’s modern cohort-based course movement.
