ANMA COMPANY is an Illustrations, Fine Art and Graphic Design company based in Miami, Florida lead by Andres Machado. Andres Machado,(°1987, Medellin, Colombia); through the medium of paint seeks to explore the relationships between various color harmonies and surface textures. He also explores spontaneity and chance; by putting an effort into not using art as a means to introduce his beliefs onto the audience. This may not be the popular view, but to him, a painting is not made with theory alone, the materials are the vital component. For inspiration, I look at the origins of creativity, from the one that created me. “Painting is a way to create an engaging visual environment through line, color and form. This also provides me with the means to expand my abilities through constant experimentation. My art is not an excuse to confuse the audience with unnecessary art jargon; color and form are enough to carry a painting.” “One day I decided to transform my greatest weakness, into my greatest strength; I changed a hobby into a way of life.” I named my style Colorblind Expressionism as my reason for painting to express color in all its beauty; even though I can't appreciate it completely due to color deficiency. My main medium is acrylic on canvas, but I also experiment with the possibilities allowed through different application techniques. I seek for perfection in my paintings, but expect never to find it. I believe that a painting should be first and foremost, a painting. Meanings are extra layers, not the foundation.
