Antica Australis

An award-winning regional Italian cultural dining experience presenting a set menu featuring seasonal produce sourced direct from local producers and combined with vibrant storytelling. Antica Australis was initially established in the heritage village of Carcoar in regional NSW of Australia in March 2020 - with an overarching vision to establishing a blueprint for contributing to the economic and social revival of heritage villages through an unparalleled destination dining experience. Awarded Bronze in the ‘Tourism Restaurant’ category of 2022 NSW Tourism Awards [Australia] in recognition of the estimated contribution of more than AUD$1 million in economic benefit the business brought to the local community during the financial year 2021-2022 through facilitatation of increased tourism. Antica Australis was named one of Australia’s ‘top ten regional restaurants worth travelling for’ by Luxury + Travel Magazine [Australia] in 2023. Antica Australis has tested the grounds of its unique cultural dining experience concept globally through participation in the 2023 and 2024 Ras Al Khaimah Art Festival held at Al Jazeera Al Hamra Heritage Village in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE - with The National [UAE] stating it presented ‘a culinary experience visitors will be hard-pressed to find anywhere else.’ Feedback from international guests during the 2024 festival included comments such as: “The dedication, passion, sustainable ideas, narrative and sophisticated slow-food culture.the whole experience was from another universe.” From 2025, the Antica Australis cultural dining experience becomes nomadic & global, with pop-ups planned for the UAE and Italy.
