VBV Holdings (Pty) Ltd founded Applied Filtration Services (Pty) Ltd (AFS) in 2010 after securing the exclusive distributor rights for Pall Corporation in South Africa, servicing the Energy Market (Fuels, Chemicals, Refineries and Power Generation). Effective from 1st February 2014, the entire shareholding in AFS was sold by VBV Holdings (Pty) Ltd to AFS Holdings (Pty) Ltd, which in turn is owned by a consortium of investors and management. The effective BEE equity in the corporate structure is well in excess of 50%, therefore making Applied Filtration Services (Pty) Ltd a Level 2 BEE company. Having relocated its facilities to Midrand area in December 2013, changed its shareholding and employed additional sales and marketing personnel, AFS has experienced exponential growth, demonstrating its ability to service the Energy Market in South Africa.
