Aqume Foundation

Founded in 2021, AQUME Foundation is West Michigan’s first Black founded and led foundation. AQUME Foundation is committed to providing innovative and culturally inclusive philanthropic practices in communities of color to combat generations of systemic level oppression via racially biased policy and resource allocation through our four core values: racial and economic equity, community transformation, financial investment, and accountability. AQUME Foundation centers economic justice by providing in-depth resources to communities of color to learn and establish intergenerational wealth through philanthropy, estate planning, workshops, networking, and more. We know financial literacy and stability will have a positive impact on the many categories of socio-economic needs within our communities.
