Global Brigades empowers communities in Honduras, Panama, Guatemala, Belize, Ghana, and Greece to drive their own development through a holistic model of health and economic programs. Our catalyst for change is driven by passionate student leaders from around the world who lead 7-10 day brigades to fund and help implement our holistic programs. Our skill-based volunteer opportunities provide a unique experience for students and professionals to engage in hands-on international development work. Indiana University Dance Marathon
Indiana University Dance Marathon, commonly known as IU Dance Marathon or IUDM, is a 36-hour Dance Marathon that takes place every fall at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana with the purpose of raising both funding and awareness for pediatric care. IUDM was started in 1991 to honor the life of Ryan White and has grown to become the second largest student-run organization in the nation. Since then, IUDM has raised over $56 million for Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, IN. IUDM is managed by 23 Executive Council members that oversee 18 committees. Over committee members work year round to the raise awareness, hold events, and prepare for the 36-hour marathon. Over dancers participate in the marathon and in 2024 IUDM raised $3,058,042.23 for Riley Hospital for Children.
