Established in 2022 in London, ARAKHNE is presenting its first Synthesis - ‘Purgatorio: Canto XII” for SS22. This debut collection has been featured in many publications such as Vogue Italia, 10 Magazine, Marie Claire Arabia abd the Pirelli Calendar among others. Drawing inspiration from a rich heritage of Greek storytellers, the brand interrogates notions of connectivity and political being through the lens of the queer experience. Bringing together physical and digital craftsmanship, tactile materiality and quality of construction, the collection features tailoring reimagined and subverted for the modern identity. ARAKHNE aims to present a subversive image of the queer body that views intellectually and artistically codes of dressing and self-expression. With an interdisciplinary approach to design, the work is conceived as a myth about to unfold. Dimitris Karagiannakis graduated from the Royal College of Art with an MA in Fashion in 2021. His graduate collection has been featured in many publications such as Vogue Italia, Marie Claire Arabia, 10 Magazine and L'Officiel Italia among others.
