Art-Amis.my new place of abode for ORGANIC WRITING and ART After years of working in the marketing area, I have increasingly realised the importance of story writing. This when combined with artwork becomes a sort of automatic visualising of pictures with words. Maybe I am describing cinema or TV or classic audio-visual advertising? It isn’t exactly because you usually have a script writer asking for storyboards. In my world, you might have a story evolving with artwork popping up before the words and leap-frogging each other. It is like coming out of a clearing and seeing a wide river in a picture….You ask.where did that come from.how does it impact the story? This homemade organic writing and art for me is the future…a sort of new movement. It is where my natural creative expression should be. Clearing the mind and allowing originality to take its rightful place.as best I can achieve anyhow. I will still keep my hand in the marketing area, but I will move most of my emphasis to Art-Amis. The digital area is exciting from a mass communication point of view, but it leaves me a little cold without a cracking idea at its centre. Whoever came up with the idea of sticking a flake in normal ice cream and then calling it a 99…wow simple and successful….and not dull digital. I remember once working on removing ascorbic acid from Allinson’s bread and labelling it under the ‘NO PRESERVATIVES’ headline. It saved money, made us the brand leader and sort of helped awareness of e numbers and preservatives in food. Unfortunately, the bread did not last as long….it was a bit of trickery which lead to much more wastage.
