Artillery exists to. discover what happens when we invite people to collaborate creatively in neighbourhoods, make visible, share and celebrate people's skills, talent and imagination, nurture the conditions to collectively transform our experience of where we live, work and play through art. We are working towards a future in which EVERYONE has time and space to discover creative solutions to realise their ideas and ambitions. Doing this in open collaboration, we are all confident in making a contribution while valuing each other’s imaginations and skills. A future alive with genuine, generous invitations to celebrate collective achievements without hierarchy. Artillery grows projects from conversations on the streets that we share, creating a sense of place through community co-creation. We do this through three strands of work: Nurture - nurturing networks for artistic support and development Discover - discovering space/new ways for experimenting and learning Make - making shared art experiences together Artillery mobilises creativity in neighbourhoods. We are alert to the creative appetite and potential of everyday places, especially in neighbourhoods overlooked by established culture producers. We devise art experiences that invite people to invent their own rules of engagement. To come together to simmer ideas, build momentum and energy, to bring the projects we need to life from the ground up. To create shared memories that inspire our ambitions. Sometimes we move with stealth, sometimes we flock together, sometimes we are connected over distance. Together we evolve, adapting to our changing needs and environments because we believe that when we are connected, we are wiser, stronger and better equipped to make what we need and find joy in what we do.
