Ashington Town Council is the first tier of local government for the town of Ashington (population 28,278 at 2021 census), within the unitary authority of Northumberland (population 320,576 at 2021 census). The Council covers six wards of the town. These are: Bothal Central College Haydon Hirst Seaton The Council is served by 18 elected representatives (Town Councillors).
