Authentic Trainings brings years of experience in working with substance use disorder and mental health field. We are the people to train your staff. Our specialty is in training clinicians and peer professionals/coaches in Trauma Responsiveness and Motivational Interviewing as our foundation courses. Our trainers work in the field and have a deep understanding of what human service providers need to thrive in today's workplace. What makes us different is that we are an out of the box company. Our trainings include expressive arts, creative rhythm facilitation, equine assisted trainings and wellness techniques, that are based in adult learning theory and evidenced based. As the owner of Authentic Trainings LLC, I have over 30 years of experience working with trauma and SUD. This includes working as a clinician, charge counselor and supervisor in a large hospital-based program. I supervised the Day Rehabilitation Programs and a SAMHSA grant for pregnant women. All of our trainings come from an adult learning perspective. What that means is that we focus on practical skills that help the professional find meaning in the training that they can incorporate into their practice. When professionals leave our training, we want them to have developed a little more resilience and new tools that will re-energize them. Our wellness program includes NLP Hypnosis, NLP Time Line Therapy (r), Nurtured Heart Approach, Trauma Debriefing, DBT-Emotional Regulation Skills, and Mindfulness. Authentic Trainings is a NYS OASAS approved provider. Our trainers are also members of the ASAP-NYCB Trainers Registry.
