Author Zoevera Jackson

Zoevera “Zoey” Jackson is a native of Chicago, Illinois. She is the second oldest of four children to her mother and father. She is a wife, mother, and retired military veteran. She has a B.A. in English from Illinois State University and an M.A. in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma. As a writer, she focuses on the empowerment and celebration of black girls and black women. She enjoys writing about her life experiences and serving as a mentor to youth in the community. She is a black female entrepreneur, Non-Profit CEO, published author, yoga teacher, public speaker, and Holistic Health Coach. She is passionate about the economic empowerment of the black family and black businesses as well as mentoring. One of the main ways that she does this is through the representation and featuring of black girls and black women in her books and yoga teaching resources.
