Babanango Game Reserve

Babanango Game Reserve is over 20 hectares of wilderness in the heart of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It is the largest conservation project of its kind in the last 30 years, with over 75% of the land leased from local communities. Steeped in historic significance, it boasts spectacular diversity with mistbelt grassland, thornveld and river frontage along the iconic White iMfolozi River. This rich area conserves abundant wildlife that includes our big 5, while boasting unique species such as cheetah, eland, several antelope species and the elusive brown hyena. Our four safari lodges are perfectly positioned across the landscape - each with their own unique styles and offerings- Madwaleni River Lodge - Zulu Rock Lodge - Valley Lodge - Matatane Camp Situated in KwaZulu- Natal, Babanango Game Reserve is in a malaria- free area and a 3,5 hours drive from Durban and a 6 hour drive from Johannesburg.
