Balar Wine Estate

Balar is a producer of limited edition fine boutique wines. Its vineyards are located in the south-eastern part of Bulgaria, in the sunny Thracian Valley. The large number of sunny days per year, the soil’s excellent drainage and the deliberately reduced harvest of 400 kg/decare are a vital prerequisite for the production of rich, full-bodied and memorable red wines from the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah varieties. The wines are produced in limited series and are left to mature in French oak barrels for a minimum of six months. Once bottled, the wine develops an exquisite and classy bouquet of aromas and tastes. Balar’s vision is to create boutique red wines of distinct character for people who can truly appreciate fine wine.
