Bantu Collective Incorporated is an African community organisation that compromises of members from different African countries. We are based in Geelong. Our organisation was formed in 2021. We host an annual festival named Bantu Fest. Bantu Fest is a vibrant family-friendly celebration of African culture, spotlighting the diverse experiences of African Australians. Dubbed as ‘the quintessential African experience” by festival attendees as an event where all walks of life congregate to celebrate culture. We bring African businesses from across Victoria to Geelong, and they bring wide range of Africa’s finest tastes, style, homewares, exceptional talent and more! We activate spaces and promote cross-cultural awareness and understanding. Our aim to boost cultural pride and social engagement. And give us the opportunity to showcase the positive aspects of our community. Our events are an Inclusive space. Embracing the factthat everyone has value to add. Building a community that is accessible to everyone. Safe for any gender, race, ethnicity, religion, country of origin, sexual orientation, visible and invisible disability, and age. Since 2022, our event stats include collaborations 78 market vendors,nearly a 100 live performers and about 2200 attendees over 4 festival events.
