Sureway Employment And Training
Sureway’s purpose is to change lives and build stronger communities, and we have proudly done so for more than 30 years commencing operations as a training provider in 1991. We primarily worked with businesses to upskill staff in various industries in our early days, giving us insight into these skillsets employers found valuable in their employees. From 1998, we were thrilled to start delivering Employment Services to clients on behalf of the Australian Government initially in rural, regional and remote NSW. This opportunity enabled us to extend our services to help more people within our communities with training and employment support. Sureway is committed to providing work-ready candidates to complement any industry in the workforce. Sureway now offers employment, training and allied health solutions in rural, regional, and metropolitan locations across central and south-eastern Australia (ACT, NSW, SA and VIC). Our Employment Service offering includes: • Workforce Australia – Employment Services: helping job seekers find and keep a job • Workforce Australia - Transition to Work: for young job seekers between the ages of 15-24, designed to equip them for the workforce • Workforce Australia – Career Transition Assistance: for job seekers aged 45+, designed to help them become competitive applicants in their local labour market • Disability Employment Services: for job seekers with either a temporary or permanent disability Our expanded services include registration as a NDIS Provider and allied health services through Sureway Health Support. Cyrenian House
Operating since 1981, Cyrenian House is the largest not-for-profit, non-government alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment service operating across Western Australia. We draw on a diverse range of approaches including the Therapeutic Community Model, 12 Step Recovery Models, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Systems Theory, Psychodynamic Theory, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Social Learning Theory. Cyrenian House offers a wide range of quality services including- four Therapeutic Communities (TCs)- two Low Medical Withdrawal Units - a Residential Women and Children’s Program - a purpose-built Childcare Centre - a transitional housing and support program - an Integrated Community Alcohol and Drug Service - a regional AOD outreach service in partnership with Milliya Rumurra - several AOD programs in a number of metropolitan prisons - a Cyrenian Central office, offering individual, group, and family counselling and support, as well as peer support groups Cyrenian House delivers proven expertise in leadership and coordination skills with particular emphasis on partnership development. This allows us to work in a collaborative way with other organisations to assist our consumers to address issues such as housing, employment and education and provide support to access health care providers for both physical and mental health care issues.

Domestic Violence Crisis Service Act
DVCS has been helping Canberrans impacted by family and domestic violence since 1988, providing emergency and long-term support services. DVCS is an inclusive service working with children, young people and adults, free of charge to everyone in need, regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, immigration status or socioeconomic, religious and ethnic background. DVCS services include a 24/7 telephone crisis service, safety planning, security upgrades, help with legal and court matters and support programs for those who've experienced or witnessed violence and those who want to stop using violence. In addition to supporting clients, our team provides education and training in relation to what family, domestic and intimate partner violence is, how to prevent it, support someone experiencing it and how DVCS engages with the ACT landscape.
