As an innovative retailer with an innate understanding of ‘food as medicine,’ Joe operated his store alongside his family. In time, Kings Cross Health Foods evolved into Bonvit which specialises in the manufacture of premium health foods. This background in retail provides a unique perspective not widely shared by other manufacturers, and an insight into the challenges of retailing, resulting in a win-win solution for both parties. Their select suite of premium quality healthy products meets, and often exceeds the highest Australian and global standards and they are widely available through Australia and New Zealand via Woolworths, Coles, independent supermarkets, health food stores, pharmacies, and more. With over half a century of retail and manufacturing expertise, the company is now led by Anthony Gerardis with his son Alex representing the third generation of this successful family business.
