Bright Dawn Media serves as an English language teaching and learning resource for both native and non-native speakers. We also facilitate clear communication and provide spaces of cross-cultural connection and community. We do this by offering- group and private English language instruction - pronunciation coaching - proofreading and editing - creative writing instruction in poetry, memoir, and literary nonfiction - writing critiques and coaching - a library of teaching and learning resources on the Bright Dawn Blog - course and curriculum development - homeschool consultations and enrichment experiences - a free, monthly Open Conversation Hour for native and non-native English speakers I’m Leah Hamilton, the founder of Bright Dawn Media, and for almost fifteen years I’ve been teaching English, writing, and music to both native and non-native speakers.My years of teaching have taught me that- Everyone is intelligent- We are all more alike than different- We need each other to solve our common challenges. Given the right conditions, humans will learn as naturally as flowering plants will blossom. My role as a teacher is to provide those conditions. I do this by- creating a space of mutual trust and respect in the classroom - providing authentic and engaging content for language instruction - asking questions that require high levels of thinking - encouraging students to ask questions - providing clear explanations and opportunities to apply new learning My job as an editorial professional is not to make as many changes as possible to your words; it’s to collaborate with you as the writer in service of the text and the audience.
