Building Code Inspectors (BCI), is a family owned and operated construction inspection agency, started up by myself, a multiple-certified inspector and Master Code Professional (MCP). I have 28 years of work experience in the building field. I started as an electrician, but with multiple certifications and examinations progressed to become an inspector working under the City Government Inspectors in Ohio over 14 years, followed by a highly reputable agency in Washington D.C. over a span of 10 years. With a desire to work for myself, four years ago I decided to open my own business. Our agency is registered with the Third-Party Program of Washington, DC. It complies with all DCRA requirements for registration as a Third Party Inspection Agency including inspector qualifications and liability insurance. We have General Liability insurance in the amount of in addition to insurance for Professional Error & Omission liability, up to the amount of Building Code Inspectors is fully certified and authorized to perform inspections in Washington D.C. covering 29 different disciplines including electrical, building, mechanical, plumbing, fire alarms, sprinkler systems and hood suppression systems, just to name a few. The only discipline that we do not carry out inspections on is elevators.
