Barisal Youth Society-BYS, founded on 1st July 2014, is the largest youth-led organization based in Barishal, Bangladesh. This platform shelters young underprivileged girls and pledges to brestore their rights. We aim at achieving gender equality by working closely with girls who are victims of child marriage, molestation, domestic violence, and marital rape by raising awareness and ensuring quality education. Over members and 800 volunteers are actively working with BYS in several projects that mostly focus on providing financial education aid alongside health equipment that guarantees menstrual hygiene. We are strictly ensuring the equal participation of both males and females in leadership. We stopped 290 early marriages and empowered hundreds, including sex-workers, towards a better future.
