Canberra Chemicals was started as a partnership firm in 1975 by BC Patel and CC Patel as a small scale manufacturer bulk drugs like Paracetamol, Chloramphenicol, Glycerophosphates and other fine chemicals. Since 1990, the company has been manufacturing Calcium phosphate excipients used in tablets along with other grades which are used in mineral food blend supplements. Canberra's clientele list consists of some of the top nutraceutical and food supplement brands around the world. The company holds all the major food safety certificates and licenses. The company is constantly upgrading it's capabilities according to the new cGMP guidelines. Presently, the Canberra group has set up a state-of-the-art GMP facility in Halol, Gujarat by which it aims double it's capacities in the same product segment. Since new product segments are not ventured as of yet, the company has been able to achieve profound quality standards along with capacity growth in this product. Apart from this in-house R&D team, quality team (QA and QC) continuously maintains peak quality standards of the finished product. The older site is also active in the CSR endeavors in green energy space and clean water supplies in the nearby village of Nandesari.
