A new plant is under construction in Ethiopia. Further we have management contracts, by virtue of which we manage 2 plants in Tanzania and Mozambique. Sub-Saharan Africa is in desperate need of being self sufficient in terms of pharmaceutical formulations so as to eliminate shortages, counterfeit imports and also High Cost imports. and is encouraging investments in Pharmaceuticals. We believe that this is the right way forward and would like to encash this opportunity by initiating the set up of one plant each year. Setting up plants in virtually unknown territories is a big challenge, but does not worry us as its a been there done that 8 times story for us.
