Based in Liege (LGG) airport in Belgium, CHALLENGE HANDLING ( prevously LACHS ) is ideally situated at the heart of Europe’s golden triangle (Paris – Amsterdam – Frankfurt), with direct access to all of Europe’s main economic centers. An intimate cargo focused “flexport” with 24/7 availability and no curfew, LGG operates 365 days/year. Our team at CHALLENGE HANDLING specializes in complex cargo needs, including Perishables, Pharma, Live Animals, Oversized and Dangerous Goods, and we maintain a unique infrastructure for the Oil & Gas industry. History Established in 1997 as a joint venture between AGREXO and CAL Cargo Airlines, CHALLENGE HANDLING employs end of 2023, around 500 people and specializes in ground handling for both complex and standard cargo. Initially founded to handle and transport perishables, our entire infrastructure is built to facilitate incredibly fast transfer from plane to trucks, for quick delivery to market. In 2006, CAL Cargo Airlines bought out AGREXCO’s partial ownership and became the sole owner. Ownership CHALLENGE HANDLING is part of CHALLENGE GROUP. This seamless and successful partnership allows us to “think like an airline” in every detail. Our load masters are experts in building and loading loose cargo and pallets for optimal utilization of space.
