I have worked effectively with clients to: improve their relationships; invigorate their sex life; deepen their intimacy; prepare a solid foundation for a healthy marriage; move through a major life transition; recover from a divorce; define and achieve career goals; manage depression and anxiety, recover from addictions; and courageously face end of life issues. I can help you go from where you are to where you want to be. I believe that people can change at a very core level. I also trust the innate wisdom of the psyche to move towards wholeness and healing. I have experience with both western psychological models and eastern mindfulness practices, and I use both traditional and experiential approaches, such as Hakomi, EMDR, and Brainspotting, to get us to your goals. I play an active role as your therapist which includes being at various times a facilitator, an educator or guide, a coach, and confidante. My specialties include: relationship and intimacy issues; premarital counseling; sex therapy; life and career transitions; working through grief and loss; midlife and aging issues; recovery from past trauma and abuse; unblocking creativity; and the spiritual work of finding life’s meaning.
