Vision Statement To build stronger communities that are well-informed, peaceful, healthy, and empowered toward sustainable development. Mission Statement To work for the welfare and development of marginalized communities through empowerment initiatives, technology, innovation, capacity building, educational programs, and the promotion of social, environmental, cultural, and health-related values—while ensuring the responsible and sustainable use of life-supporting resources. Our organization was originally established in 2022, beginning with a focus on blood donation at Maungdaw Government Hospital. In our early phase, the name **Youth Development and Blood Donation** served us well as we built trust and engagement within the community. However, through ongoing dialogue with community members, stakeholders, and beneficiaries, it became clear that the name often led to a narrow understanding of our workprimarily associating us with blood donation activities. In reality, our mission has expanded over time to include a wide range of community development efforts, such as **youth empowerment, educational support, health awareness programs, livelihood training, and community mobilization**. While blood donation remains an important part of our work, we recognized the need for a name that reflects our broader impact. Therefore, in 2024, with strong community support and consultation, we officially changed our name to **Community Development Center (CDC)**. CDC is guided by key values that we promote at both individual and organizational levels: Honesty, Transparency and Accountability, Mutual Respect, Gender Sensitivity, Cost Efficiency, Participation, and Solidarity We have achieved 60% of our targeted goals, particularly in building strong social connections and reducing discrimination, prejudice, and stereotypes within and between communities.
