Inspired by discussions with executives at Rockwell Automation and Microsoft, UWM has established the Connected Systems Institute (CSI) where researchers and industry partners conduct advanced research related to digital manufacturing and prepare a skilled workforce. The institute blends expertise from UWM’s Lubar College of Business, College of Engineering & Applied Science and School of Information Studies. Partners also include WE Energies, Fortinet, UScellular, and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.
