Cypress Fellowship

We envision a Church that shines brightly with the transforming light of Jesus Christ into a world of darkness. Illuminating, like a lighthouse on the ocean shore, a world where the irreligious, religious, broken and battered people of Northwest Houston will find their lifeless souls resurrected to abundant life in Christ. We see a church where people leave powerful worship services shaking their heads in wonder at the nearness to God they felt there. We see a church teaching children, youth, and adults to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. A church filled with real people connected to others in vital, life giving relationships. We envision a church where all people use the gifts and talents God has given them, to enable the entire body to function effectively and fulfill the calling Christ has given. We see a church full of real people celebrating Christ and giving real hope to a lost and confused world that is spinning out of control. A church where there is genuine love and acceptance of others regardless of their past or present, where everyone understands we are all on the same team and striving for the same goal; Sharing Christ to Effect Spiritual Transformation. We envision a church that refuses to accept the status quo, realizing there are people outside its walls living in bondage and fear, living with no hope for the present and no hope for the future. We see a community and world touched by the unselfish love of Christ, through the dedication of born again believers who have a Kingdom agenda, have been given forgiveness and life, and resolve to give that same message to others. We see a church standing firmly on God's word, relying on the power of the Holy Spirit, and willing to risk all by leaping out in faith to make a difference, one life at a time.
