Dawn Patrol Wines comes from a passion for surfing, community, and adventure. Built on founder Trizanne Barnard’s vision for positive social change and environmental ocean protection. We set out to improve the lives of young people in our local communities, safeguard our oceans for future generations and to carve a life of passion and purpose for both the consumer and company. We stay true to these core values to this day. Committed to our product, environment, and people, Dawn Patrol Wines has set a pioneering example for the South African wine industry in sustainability, accountability, and traceability; pledging to map our social responsibility. Through our local partnerships we have sponsored programs in and around Cape Town that have contributed to positive social and environmental change. The name ‘Dawn Patrol Wines’ derives from the common surf term ‘Dawn Patrol’, where a surfer will mission out before sunrise in the pursuit of the perfect wave. We have applied this same philosophy to our wine making, where our dedication goes hand in hand with our mission. Since day one we have been dedicated to our awareness of our impact, trying to remain as environmentally conscious as possible; seen from the sourcing of our grapes to the packaging of our wine, striving to minimise our footprint. We are ocean loving people, something that has directly translated into protecting what we love most. In our evolution, we aim to take our community on the journey with us.
