Decante This

Decante This was originally established by Leigh Dryden in 2010 in Zurich, Switzerland and was conceived as a means of turning a passion into a profession. Leigh started his career as an agricultural economist but his lifelong passion for wine has never left him. Most of his career has been spent working for international companies outside of Australia and has taught him to understand the value of great products, relationships and quality. When Leigh returned to Australia in 2011, he brought Decante This with him, and was thereby able to introduce the Australian market to wine regions and winemakers that had never had an avenue into our region before. Decant This is built upon the premise of delivering a select range of premium high quality wines that come from environmentally sustainable, small, family owned and operated wine producers. We are very proud of the close personal relationships we have fostered with each winemaker and each wine, having visited each vineyard and understood the way our wines are produced from vine to bottle. Our wines have come from Germany, Switzerland, USA, France, New Zealand and South Africa but all are produced by artisan winemakers on a small scale, making them unique, very high quality, and often very limited. The next chapter in the Decante This story has now opened. Our new partner, Daryl Fisher, brings with him a passion for wine equal to Leigh’s, as well as extensive knowledge of the Sydney wine market. Having started his career in retail at Vintage Cellars, Daryl studied at University of Adelaide, Roseworthy. Decante This is now proudly representing a select range of Australian winemakers, based on the same principles as our international range, artisan winemakers producing very high quality wines with sustainability and integrity. Leigh and Daryl are both deeply passionate about what we do, the wines and winemakers we represent, and hope to share our enthusiasm and some great wine with you.
