Deu Mechanical Engineering

Dokuz Eylül University, Department of Mechanical Engineering (DEU - MECH) started teaching as a part of the Faculty of Engineering at Ege University in 1968. In 1982 our department became a part of the newly founded Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of Dokuz Eylül University. After separating the Architecture, and Urban & Regional Planning departments, the name of the faculty changed to the Faculty of Engineering. From the begining of education in 1975 until 1992, only the formal education program has been implemented. In 1992, a secondary education program was started. Currently, 30% English-assisted Turkish program is undergoing both formal and secondary education. In addition to the Undergraduate programs, our department has five graduate programs, i.e, Energy, Design & Production, Mechanics, Machine Theory & Dynamics, and Thermodynamics, at the Graduate school of Natural and Applied Sciences.
