Dogwood Ift
We are the North Carolina regional section of the Institute of Food Technologists. Our section was founded in 1964 as the Carolina Virginia Section; however, because the two state geographical region was so large, the section was divided in 1998, resulting in the new Dogwood Section being established for the North Carolina area. The purpose of the Dogwood Section of IFT is to- Promote interest in food science - Encourage discussion and share technical information relating to food processing - Advance the profession by promoting high professional standards - Provide cooperative relationships between the food industry and faculty, staff, and students in food science programs
