Dutch-Bangla Pack Ltd (DBPL) is a Netherlands-Bangladesh joint venture company established in 2007. Local shareholders hold 50% of the shares while the remaining 50% of the shares is held by LC Packaging International BV in the Netherlands. The Bangladeshi shareholders include four local investors and Sinobangla Industries Ltd- another long-standing production partner of LC Packaging in Bangladesh. LC Packaging is one of the largest providers of high quality flexible packaging solutions, with offices, production facilities and warehouses in 16 countries in Europe, Africa and Asia. To cater to the rising demands for its products, DBPL has recently undertaken its second major factory expansion, expected to be completed in 2021. DBPL is the leading producer of FIBCs (Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers) in Bangladesh. An FIBC or big bag, is an industrial container made of flexible fabric that is designed for storing and transporting dry, flowable products, such as sand, fertilizer, and granules of plastic. The company's square meter facility has an annual production capacity of tons, equating to roughly 3.2 million pieces of FIBCs. DBPL currently produces Pharma Clean, Food Clean, Intermediate Clean, Industrial Clean and Laminated FIBCs and HDPE/LDPE liners. Due to hygiene and safety considerations, the company maintains a High Care Cleanroom for FIBCs produced for the Food and Pharma industries. To emphasize the commitment of DBPL towards quality, efficiency and responsible and sustainable business practices, the company has achieved the ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, FSSC and SA certification standards. With the accomplishment of the aforementioned certificates, DBPL is the first and only FIBC manufacturer in the world to have achieved these certificates in unison.
