Education Is Freedom

The mission of Education is Freedom (EIF) is to transform lives through education. Our core belief is every student deserves a pathway to a prosperous future. We envision a world where every young person achieves their academic and professional goals and thrives in a career that pays a family-sustaining wage. We know that having a post-secondary credential adds at least to the potential lifetime earnings of a young person compared to their peers with only a high school diploma. Yet currently, fewer than half of Dallas County K-12 students go on to enroll in higher education. Individualized interventions make a dramatic difference: for example, students who complete the financial aid process are close to twice as likely to enroll in a post-secondary institution.(Data source: The Commit Partnership) As a trusted partner to school districts and community leaders, EIF is helping students rewrite their futures, dream big, and achieve more. We deliver personalized, student-centered college and career advising that starts in middle school, supports persistence through high school, and opens doors to post-secondary opportunities that increase economic mobility. In the 2025-2026 academic year, EIF is positioned to serve more than high school students in eight Dallas County school districts (Dallas, Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Duncanville, Garland, Grand Prairie, Lancaster, and Mesquite) and nearly middle school students (in Dallas and Garland ISDs).
