Emerald Again

Emerald Again provides virtual op-shop browsing for individuals who may otherwise find it challenging to get to an op-shop themselves. We’ve found some people may find it hard to get there because of physical reasons, such as being unable to drive or being immunocompromised, or it may be other reasons, such as finding the thought of op-shopping in-store just a bit too overwhelming. Emerald Again uses video-call technology to enable participants to go browsing virtually inside the op-shop. It’s everyday technology that most of us already use, like Zoom or FaceTime. Emerald Again will be physically inside the store during the video-call, so that it means participants can go op-shop browsing from the comfort of their home, or wherever suits best. Together we walk around the shop, and the participant can direct us to anything that catches their eye. Together we’ll have a chat and enjoy the thrill of the op-shop browse, and finding those hidden gems.
