Empowering Wind Group (“EWG”) is a medium scale renewable energy developer specialising in the deployment of wind power projects in the UK and Ireland. From land acquisition, legal due diligence, council consultations and submission of the planning application to connecting the wind turbine to the Grid, Empowering Wind mitigates risks of loss at each stage of the development process using proven industry leading site screening and technical consulting practices. Our focus is on embedded power generation projects at commercial, industrial and brownfield land sites where the environmental impacts are minimised and the presence of wind power is justified in order to offset substantial on-site power demands. EWG works with the highest performing direct drive wind turbines that have been optimised to meet demanding European Grid codes. We are technically very capable, enabling us to carry out the entire development process in house from initial concept, site assessment, planning screening, wind resource assessment and grid connection, through to construction and commissioning. Our development activities work in parallel with our technology partners, private equity investors and institutional level project financiers to deliver high yielding wind power projects using the most efficient technologies.
