Epirus Xr Center

The XR Center operates as an open, interactive hub designed to familiarize the public with emerging technologies. Its interdisciplinary nature bridges Biomedical Technology, Medical Informatics, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Medicine, Psychology, and Education, conducting cutting-edge research and fostering innovation. The center offers interactive workshops, data visualization services, seminars, and conferences. Additionally, it is actively involved in preserving cultural heritage, hosting cultural events, and promoting the arts. Through its efforts, the XR Center facilitates collaboration between university departments and external institutions. Comprised of over 50 members from the academic staff of the University of Ioannina and more than 10 active contributors, the XR Center plays a pivotal role in advancing the scientific, educational, and cultural landscape of the region. By addressing critical gaps in technology and culture, the XR Center aims to create a dynamic environment for research, education, and public engagement.
