NRG Metrics is created in 2016 from a team of market professionals and academic researchers on the field of corporate governance. By concentrating the experience and the knowledge from various types of academic backgrounds such as corporate finance, accounting, and management and of course corporate governance, we decided to create an independent corporate governance research firm. Our goal is to provide accurate data about corporate governance. We strongly believe that the lack of information on corporate governance matters and especially on the field of ownership structure is an important disadvantage. Our goal is to fill this gap. Our mission is to provide reliable data on corporate governance of listed companies around the world. In order to build our database we have created an analysis team that collects data from annual reports, SEC filings, corporate governance reports etc.

Spacedot
SpaceDot is a non-profit, volunteering and interdisciplinary student team, supported by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh). The team was founded in December 2020 and consists of more than 50 students from AUTh and other universities across Greece and Europe. Our goal is to pave the way for innovative Space research. We strive to actively support making space more accessible for the broad scientific and academic community, as well as for the general public. To achieve this, we are defined by an open-access, open-source philosophy; all experimental results, code, schematics, and knowledge gained are available for anyone to use. We believe and invest in the potential of Greece to constitute an incubator for Space research. Hellenic Ocr Team
The Hellenic Optical Character Recognition (OCR) Team represents the first scientific crowdsourcing initiative that aims exclusively at the processing and study of parliamentary data. This is an informal but powerful initiative that builds on the simple idea that a decentralized group of people can be more than the mere sum of individuals. We are a dedicated yet rapidly expanding circle of scientists from a wide spectrum of disciplines, which includes academics, officials and students from several institutions, such as the Hellenic Parliament, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Democritus University of Thrace. Team members process the parliamentary texts assigned to them at their convenience and at their own pace. The finished text units, called ‘packages’, pass through a first degree quality proof step by the mentors and are pipelined for scientific examination. Text processing follows a well-defined streamlined process that was developed in order to build quality corpora of parliamentary relevance. We at the Hellenic OCR team are constanlty looking for interested individuals to further expand our dynamic interdisciplinary team.

The Department of Statistics of the Athens University of Economics and Business has been founded in 1989. Its purpose is to provide innovative and high quality undergraduate and postgraduate education in probability and statistics. Every year 120 undergraduate students are accepted and two postgraduate courses are run. The department has an international reputation for development of statistical methodology that has grown from its history of active contributions to research and teaching in statistics. Our taught MSc Statistics (one-year, full-time course) and MSc in Applied Statistics (two-year with four directions, part-time course) courses offer specialist training in statistics applied to educational science, medical and social sciences, finance, econometrics and actuarial statistics. We welcome PhD applications from students with an excellent MSc qualification and an interest in many areas of statistics like Bayesian statistics, stochastic modeling, financial mathematics, actuarial statistics or multivariate statistics.
