We are a small group of professional power electronics consultants based in England who have been working in the industry for over 25 years. We design power supplies to facilitate various renewable energy markets e.g. EV chargers, electrolysis power supply for Hydrogen as clean energy, Fusion energy and Solar energy. In addition to that, we can also give your project a deep technical insight just so to avoid any technical surprises at a later design or commissioning phase. From Silicon to Silicon Carbide and Gallium Nitride, our engineers have extensive know how and experience of using a broad range of power semiconductor devices e.g. Thyristors, GTOs, MOSFETs, JFETs, IGBTs and FRDs, Schottky Diodes and HEMTs. We use a range of simulation software e.g. PLECS, Matlab, Simulink, SCILAB, XCOS and LT spice to resolve both system level and semiconductor physics level models. Over 20 years we have learned and mastered the art of putting the IGBTs in parallel, especially designing and controlling their short circuit behaviour when several IGBTs are connected in parallel with improved current sharing of up to +/-3%. Regarding control system, depending on the requirements, we can design a standalone, simple and low cost control system either based on linear integrated circuits or ASICs to a more complex e.g. embedded Digital Signal Processor (DSP) based control systems. Our engineers can tailor the design according to your requirements which could aim to achieve high reliability, certain type of failure mode, efficiency, size and cost.
