Feed The City

Feed The City is a volunteer-powered registered charity helping bridge the gap for neighbours who can’t reach the food bank due to mobility challenges, health issues, disability, transportation barriers, or any circumstance that makes accessing a food bank difficult. We believe that every person deserves food access with equity, connection, and care. When someone can’t pick up their boxes of food, our volunteer drivers deliver it directly to their door with dignity and reliability. Every month, our dedicated volunteer drivers deliver more than 500 food boxes to over 200 households across Ottawa. We work closely with community food banks and partner organizations to extend their reach and ensure no neighbour is left behind due to barriers beyond their control. Our work is simple and community-rooted: neighbours helping neighbours, one delivery at a time. What We Do • Deliver food directly to individuals and families who cannot physically access the food bank on their own • Support residents facing mobility limitations, disabilities, health issues, lack of transportation, or other barriers to accessing emergency food • Strengthen community food systems through partnerships with food banks, local organizations, and service providers • Build an empowered volunteer community grounded in kindness, consistency and shared purpose • Reduce isolation by offering friendly interaction, human connection, and a dependable presence at each doorstep Our Mission To provide equitable and accessible emergency food support by delivering to neighbours facing barriers to access.
